Written by a patient at Cleveland Surgery
30th September 2020

I'm lost now he has moved on from our Surgery. He became my doctor over 22 years ago when I returned home from up North. I was 23 weeks pregnant, has just previously suffered sciatica and a slipped disc. Since then he has helped me through having a traumatic birth resulting with a child with PDA, a miscarriage and another birth. He has taken me through extreme Anxiety, Depression, Primary Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Chronic Asthma and Chronic Dystonia. They have so many other symptoms too! He carefully checked to ensure my meds were compatible so I didn't suffer too many side effects. More than anything he LISTENED TO ME. He gave up his own time to talk to me beyond my health issues and encouraged ways in which I could deal with my curse as I call it. He saved my life on more than one occasion, giving up was on my mind for a long time. Dr P. LISTENED! Sought appropriate therapy, counselling, consultants and self help advice. I suffered a medical trauma in 2008. I suffered professional and emotional abuse through my job in 2013. This led to all future medical issues for me. I was a strong healthy person brought to my knees. Dr Percival is a dedicated practitioner. He sees the patient in an holistic way. He maintains contact when he is talking with his patients. Not like so many who just stare at their computer screens. He is quite reserved which is not a bad thing. He cares, he does what he has promised, he is honest and trustworthy. Wherever he has gone, you are blessed to have him so look after him.
