A wonderful caring doctor I always feel 100% better when I have seen him. He always listens to any concerns I have and his solutions to any problems are always delivered in a very straightforward way making me want to do exactly what he advises. I have seen several consultants over the past 20 plus years about my diabetes but non even come close to the way he has made me feel.I actually look forward to going to see him. Consultants like him are very rare I have been very lucky being referred to him.

We transferred from the NHS to Dr O'Connell on recommendation, and are delighted to have found such a knowledgeable and understanding endocrinologist with an excellent, informal bedside manner. He is very professional, approachable and has a wicked sense of humour - which is the perfect attitude for dealing with an otherwise stubborn teenager! My daugther has seen him 14 times so far in the last year, and we trust his opinion implicitly.
