Dr Goodall is an exceptional example of the "listening consultant". The last time I spoke to him which was recently I was able to open up about my experiences in relation to medicine and the treatment of pain as a discipline. Dr Goodall was genuinely interested in what I had to say and was highly constructive in his comments. Dr Goodall engenders trust in his patients and if you observe and listen, it becomes blatantly obvious that he knows his speciality exceptionally well.
