Was extremely reassuring. Clearly very knowledgeable. But just as important was his "people" skills. Very easy to speak too. A very nice around man.

I had my right tonsil removed on 23 September 2023. Dr Jones visited me before the procedure and talked through the procedure itself and post procedure in great depth, whilst also providing me with back up information should I forget what had just been conveyed, all done in a manner that put me at ease, because believe me I was very scared. His kindness with just the right amount of humour allowed me to relax when arriving in theatre. I am sorry, but I cannot think of any constructive suggestions on how Mr Jones could improve his care towards patients.

Great bedside manner. Very polite and informative. Put me at ease straight away and had me laughing as I was being prepped for ‘going under’. Came to see me afterwards and went over what to expect in the coming days after my operation. Highly recommended.

I went into hospital feeling very nervous about my operation (FESS) and Dr Jones couldn’t have been more reassuring! He came to see me beforehand and his friendly approachable manner made me feel instantly better. When i was taken to the anaesthesia room I was anxious. Dr Jones had some trouble finding my veins (people always have this issue so no surprise there from me!) He gave 2 or 3 attempts which were surprisingly painless! He then explained he didn’t want to just keep trying and keeping me anxious, as it wasn’t fair for me, and discussed giving me a gas anaesthetic that would put me to sleep, then he could keep trying the canula without me being hurt or scared. I agreed and he talked me through absolutely everything. His head was directly next to mine and he even described to me how it would feel and how it would smell. As I felt myself drift I remember saying “just tell me I’ll be ok” and he completely kept reassuring me in such a soft calmed way and I fell to sleep with that kindness. I hope anyone else with anxiety gets to have the lovely Dr Jones!
