A very reassuring and humourous anesthetist. I can see how Dr Hywel Jones puts his patients at ease at a time of great anxiety. He explained the procedure sufficiently and roboustly but without causing alarm. I found my experience of this anesthetic procedure much less stressful than my last and certainly more comfortable.

Excellent bedside manner. Very professional. Explained everything regarding the anaesthetic prior to the operation. Took time Saturday and Sunday to manage my pain medication and to explain to me every aspects of recovery and pain control when home. I feel he went the extra mile rather than just treat me like a lot of the conveyer belt approach to patients. I have no hesitation in recommending Doctor Jones. I cannot thank him enough.

I had Dr Jones as my anaesthetist for a breast reduction. I have low blood pressure and a high heart rate which I take medication for, which made me anxious about having anaesthesia - particularly because this was my first operation. As soon as I met Dr Jones he completely put me at ease and reassured me. He explained what would happen in a way in which I could understand, but wasn't patronising. The whole process was really smooth, was asleep quite quickly and woke up with him next to me talking to me. Would absolutely recommend him, he's so lovely and made my experience a lot more relaxing and put up with me crying on and off for about half an hour (happy tears). Lovely man :)
