I attended Emergency Dept. Antrim Area hospital on 16/11/2020. I would like both praise and acknowledge the exceptional quality of care I received from Dr Dowd and his team In Resus Dept. I was treated by Dr Dowd in resus Dept and the exceptional medical intervention I received from him ,I am so very grateful for , but I wish to acknowledge the genuine warmth , compassion and care that he has for his patients . He listened to me ,constantly reassuried me and nothing was too much trouble for him . I am grateful to him for making my patient experience in a somewhat daunting environment an experience that enabled me to trust in and feel safe under his medical Care. Thank you .

Dr Hugo Dowd saw my 13yr old daughter in July 2017, as she had hung herself and was send to Antrim hospital, thankfully I found her and she is alive. Dr Dowd and his staff where abosolulty fantastic in the care they gave my daughter , so understanding and checked her all night and morning to make sure their was no after effects to the disruption , he also answered a question for me , concerning my son who had died 9 years previously, which I could get no clousure over. I would highly recommend him with out any hesitation. Thank you Dr Hugo Dowd & staff for everything. Vanessa .
