I had been suffering from severe palpitations over the last few years with little or no options offered by my GP. These attacks necessitated emergency visits to A&E in a state of near collapse where my heart had to be stopped and restarted. I then booked an appointment with Dr Bethell armed with all the ECGs etc from these visits. From the information I gave him and some incisive questions he quickly and accurately diagnosed an electrical fault and referred me to an electrophisiologist for a cardiac ablation. He also arranged for the necessary cardiac tests before the procedure during which some early heart disease was found. I cannot recommend
Dr Bethell highly enough in terms of his expertise, diligence and caring manner.
My Father was in a really bad state, I was searching for all different cardiologist through Bupa search. I came across Dr Bethell, I rang his secretary who was really really helpful and two years later I can not complain about a single thing.
Dr Bethell has been amazing in regards to listening to my fathers problems and bringing him back on his feet again. I can not thank him enough and his secretary Neela for all the help they have been providing to my father since the beginning.
Dr Bethell also has a very strong network of great Doctors which have also helped a lot.
Overall, if you want to be looked after by someone who has expert knowledge and experience and treats you with great care then Dr Bethell is the one.

I'm lucky enough to have been a medical student on placement at Nortwick Park Hospital under Dr Bethell's teaching firm. He is a brilliant doctor and great teacher. Few, if any, consultants I've met have been so dedicated and willing to give up time to teach medical students like us. Every week, he would sit with us for a good couple hours and go over cardiology cases; and wouldn't let that teaching time be disturbed by his other work. He let us sit in clinics with him, watch him perform procedures and made us feel like a real part of the cardiology team by putting us at such ease. His patients really like him and it's not hard to see why - my group and I were so sorry to leave our cardiology placement and any students or patients going to deal with Dr Bethell in the future should consider themselves very lucky.
