I have been seeing Dr Maksoud for a number of years. I find him warm and welcoming and friendly and his knowledge about different aspects of my health is impressive. He knows where to signpost me to a specialist and at the appropriate time. He is thorough and a credit to the profession.

I have been seeing Dr Maksoud, now since 2017 when he, after a thorough consultation and blood tests, diagnosed CFS. I now try to visit annually and it’s not easy for me as I live in Cumbria but I have so much faith and trust in Dr Maksoud I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Even if it’s not his speciality he ensures I am ‘signposted’ to the correct consultant and speciality and always ensures I update him on my progress. What can I say about Dr Maksoud he is warm, welcoming, patient, empathetic, knowledgeable, and just a pleasure to know. I suffer with both physical and mental health issues and don’t know what I’d do without his support and reassurance. I can’t ever thank him or his team enough.

As someone suffering with ongoing mental health problems (diagnosed as Treatment Resistant Recurrent Depressive Disorder) I contacted Dr Maksoud having found, through my own research, about the relationship between mental health and thyroid function. Knowing nothing more than that there might be something here worth pursuing, I first visited Dr Maksoud at a time when my mental illness was acutely debilitating. I was distressed and frightened. Dr Maksoud was immediately warm, welcoming and compassionate. He talked in terms I could understand, answered my many questions and was reassuringly confident. When I needed to ask a question a few weeks after my visit, I emailed Dr Maksoud's team and very quickly received a personal and helpful response from Dr Maksoud which I shared with my Consultant Psychiatrist (NHS) who respects Dr Maksoud's expertise and is ensuring joined-up care. I have no doubt that I will remain under Dr Maksoud's care. His knowledge, skill, insight, the time he takes to listen and 'whole person' approach mean that I am now able to hold hope for my recovery. Thank-you Dr Maksoud and your lovely team - with all my heart.

Dr Maksoud is an excellent endocrinology consultant. He is very approachable, very knowledgeable and listens to my problems, and is confident in the decisions he makes for my positive healthcare. He goes above and beyond with his time to ensure I understand my problems. His care is holistic and diplomatically picks up the health problems continually caused by other medical healthcare professionals. My care with Dr. Maksoud has extended over many years advising and treating me with unstable thyroid and lipid problems and I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Maksoud if you require the kind of care that I have received and continually receive from him.
