I was seen by Dr Bowden Jones early last year and prescribed a medication that made me feel worse and worse throughout the year. I reached a deep depression and tiredness because of it and once I stopped them I started to feel so much better. But bear in mind they destroyed me for a few good months She didn't take my appointments serious at all. It felt like she was playing doctor..

I have seen Dr Bowden-Jones on and off for the last two and a bit years. She is a very nice person and clearly cares about her patients. However, I think whether she is the doctor for you depends on your needs as a patient. She has a LOT of non-patient commitments and she is not the sort of doctor you can contact outside hours or who is at all available to her patients between appointments. She is very prominent in the NHS and with government lobbying relating to gambling and gaming. All very worthy but there are only 24 hours in a day. If you need reviewing every couple of months then she is great - very nice and no doubt competent, but I don't think you will have the best time if you want or need a doctor that is very involved in your care, and available on the phone in a pinch etc.
