I initially had my Veins stripped under a general anaethestic in hospital approx 20yrs ago and it was the most horrific experience, a few days after surgery i was unable to walk because if the terrible bruising and swelling , in my GP's words it looked like i had been run over by a truck!. So when my veins reappeared i was very apprehensive on having anymore NHS treatments , though the GP advised me that treatment is not available as it is classed as a cosmetic procedure!!!! After seeing an invitation to an Open Evening I plucked up the courage to go and met Mr Gajaraj whom i must say was inspiring in the way he talked about the condition of veins and the treatments.. I booked the free consultation, and Mr Gajraj examined my legs and reassured me that he could help me, i have never felt aprehensive over having any of my treatments, as Mr Gajraj puts you at ease with his caring and professional manner, and best of all the treatments are virtually pain free, the worst thing is to wear the compression stockings for 7 days but its a small price to pay...... I can now virtually skip through the day without pain in my legs, and being a childminder thats a great bonus.
