I was a patient at Alvanley Practice who saw Dr Thampy on several occasions and I always found Dr Thampy to be extremely switched on to the illness from which I suffer particularly Bipolar Disorder. It is unbelievably extremeply difficult to find a Dr that is both understanding & knowledgable and also tolerant of mental ilness but I always found Dr Thampy to be all of these things. Dr Thampy is no longer at my practice which I am quite upset about as I have not since managed to see a Dr who was as helpful or as understaning of my ilness as Dr Thampy was? And unfortunately even having searched to see if he has moved to another practice so I can continue to receive the excellent care he provided for my illness I have been unable to find this information so perhaps he has stopped practising as a GP in the community? Which would be a definite shame to people like myself.
