I have been attending the Studholme medical centre for around 44 years now. I have always been treated with the greatest of respect by all of the doctors in this surgery and would recommend this place to anyone. I would however suggest that our government, whoever is leading it, get their fingers out of silly places and rescue our national health service from the huge influx of foreign nationals which for the last few years have been causing a great deal of queues and extended waiting time for appointments. It is very important for people like me and others like me with lots of ongoing problems to be able to see my regular registered doctor, having to wait one month for a follow up appointment is not acceptable, but this is due to all the extra people who are coming here to get free care ! on us, who have been paying into the national insurance for most of our lives, this is not fair and must stop. I would like to thank all the doctors and studholme for looking after me and all my family all these years but please get rid of the extras and give them a chance to help the regular community of Ashford. This is after all the National Health Service and NOT the International health service.

My family and I have been seeing Dr McFarlane for several years for routine and also complex medical issues. Today Dr McFarlane examined my young son for an ongoing fever and cough. Dr McFarlane is an extremely knowledgeable, patient, warm and friendly doctor. Always taking the time to listen, carry out a thorough examination and come up with options for a treatment plan. You never feel uncomfortable, as if you are asking a silly question or you have been brushed off and sent away uncertain of what to do.
