After a delay in the GE doctors starting clinic (after a late lunch, following an overrunning MDT meeting), she made up the time giving me a quick but thorough colonoscopy, whilst remaining cheerful and chatty.
With a busy endoscopy clinic and waiting patients, time to discuss afterwards was limited but she listened to quite a bit of what I had to say! One piece of missing advise that i only thought of in retrospect : I apparently did not stop my blood-thinning drug (apixaban) in time for safe removal of polyps (I only missed out my morning dose on the day, as advised by an endoscopy nurse in the pre-hospital telephone call) but it would have been useful to know for my next 'scope' when I SHOULD have been advised to stop (how long before the procedure).
P.S. Nice to see that, like me, she is an Imperial College alumnus!
