I have to say Doctor Moncrieff failed me as my GP, I approached him for several conditions to which he basically didn't believe or was too arrogant to listen to what I was saying to him. I pursued my tiredness privately and was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnoea. In addition he did not believe that I could be intolerant to dairy products as his allergy test proved I wasn't allergic to milk! I find this deeply disconcerting as he is in the council of dermatologists! I later followed this up with other GPs and was referred to the dermatologists in Oxford who were wonderful.

Feel compelled to write this after reading a negative review. Dr Moncrieff was my doctor years ago when I lived in Bicester and was wonderful during my pregnancy. in dealing with my baby's allergy to dairy products and any other reason I had to visit him. I am now in my 50s and he is the best doctor I ever had the pleasure of being assigned to. He used to come up to me in the street and ask how everything was - I thought he was wonderful.

Was referred for dermatological treatment and this Doctor was fantastic over the 6 months I would go to meet him. Can't recommend him enough.

Dr Moncrieff was assigned to me following Dr Talbolt's passing. I don't visit Dr Moncrieff all too often, however on the occasions I do he deals with me with the utmost care and compassion. I feel I have his full attention for the duration of appointment and I'm not made to feel like a number. It is a shame I have moved away from the area recently, Coker Close has been my local GP surgery for life. I find the (negative) comment regarding Dr Moncrieff astounding! with 2.6million Britons on incapacity benefit, sick leave costs the economy £100billion and around 172million working days each year. - His reluctance to hand out a fit-note is understandable as many of us can work, but refuse to. George I wish you all the luck in the future.

This GP is great if you don't have mental health issues or female issues. If you are a child, man, or you have a skin condition, he is great. Otherwise his bedside manner is severely lacking, he makes you feel guilty for being too ill to go to work and needing a fit note. I have left the GP surgery crying several times due to his ignorance in regards to depression. His advice is to "pull yourself together, and get over it!" A quick on-line search will quickly reveal he is one of the lead GP's trying to abolish fit notes in the UK and he is incredibly reluctant to issue them unless your arm is falling off...
