This man has single handedly transformed my world and literally saved my life. I saw him and he knew immediately I had Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, despite 40 years of fighting for a proper diagnosis. I call him the brain to my friends because he truly is a font of knowledge and my life wasn’t worth living before I saw him. It will be a great loss to the profession when he retires. I can’t think of a way to thank this perfect gentleman more than give a review and share how grateful I am to him. I’m sure many consultants work tirelessly in their profession and rarely receive the praise or thanks for the huge positive impact they’ve had on a persons life. This diagnosis changed everything for me. The whole of the NHS started to take my needs more seriously and I feel like I’ve been supported like never before. His letters to the GP are always concise and full of all the information shared at the consultation. He never leaves a stone unturned. My life is immeasurably better because of Dr Gavin Spickett. I do hope you get to read this some day. I can never say or do enough to express my eternal gratitude. Emma Hunt
