I spoke to Dr Preautu at the Otford Medical Practice. I was in pain and was experiencing severe sickness after beginning a course of medication that had been prescribed by another GP, at the same practice, the day before. I felt that Dr Preautu was somewhat impatient with me and he questioned his colleague's judgement which I thought was unprofessional. His advice to me did turn out to be sound however.

Excellent. A simple routine blood test showed high calcium: Dr Preutu was excellent in following this up with a further test for PTH which lead to parathyroid adenomas being discovered and surgically removed. He is excellent at listening to the context and chasing things up.

Dr Preutu, thank you very much for the excellent care you gave my dearest father Rex Topham over the last weeks of his life. I was struck by your quiet and calm, your attentive attitude, considerateness and kindness, your willingness and ability to act swiftly as required, and to listen carefully to us all, particularly when we may not have been as calm as we would normally be as we were swept along on this rollercoaster of rapidly deteriorating health of our extraordinary gentleman of a Father and husband, Rex. I understand what pressures GPs work under in normal circumstances, let alone now under the strains of Covid 19. Your service has been exemplary and I commend you as a very good doctor. You gave reassurance and support to my parents during the last few weeks of my father’s life, and to Kath and myself. We only wish you had been working at the practice from an earlier date. It is rare to find someone who has professional acumen combined with commonsense, wisdom and kindness. I wish you well and thank you. Nicola Apps

Sorry, but Dr. Gabriel needs to be organised first. He can't keep up with his appointments and I have a doubt about his way to investigate a patient. I won't recommend him to anyone. He works for Circuit Lane Surgery.
