I first met Dr. Schon when my brother Anthony was admitted to Mayday in a Diabetic coma in January 1993. From the outset Dr. Schon didn't hold out much hope for Anthony and sadly to say he was right. Although Dr. schon was not directly responsible for Anthony's care he always took the time to talk to us as a family. I remember on one occasion he asked to speak with my sister and myself and out of geuine concern for us he asked us how we coped on a day to day basis. He was the perfect gentleman, he once described my sister and I to my brother as "angels". he helped us through a very heartbreaking time in our lives and was always very kind to us. Anthony was in Mayday for two years and eight months. I will always remember him for his kindness which was something he did as a human being not a Doctor
