In 1995 I was a new mum with a premature baby with a heart condition. We were transported to Adler hey when my daughter was 3 days old and I must admit I was terrified. Dr Bu'lok was on call that night and she came to scan my baby. I had just had a c section and I just recall the whole situation was totally stressful and must admit the thought of Adler hey totally freaked me out, I live in North Wales so I was faraway from home and alone but I must say Dr Bu'lok kept me calm and we were lucky enough to see her when we returned for surgeries.. after a few months of appointments I realised Dr bu'lok was herself pregnant and she told me that on her first meeting with us she was suffering with sickness. It was a shame to see her leave Adler hey, I always found her to be a very caring person and would have liked to have thanked her for all her help 21 years ago. My daughter is really well and possibly facing more surgery some day but I think she had the best doctor looking after her all those years ago
