I thought the level of service was at an all time low, when I had an Eastern European female GP that reaped of vodka. Sadly I was very wrong! I’ve now been waiting 3 days for the Practice Manager to call me, in their attempt to find a resolution. Yet still nothing, but this isn’t with the tip of the iceberg of failings. I had a telephone appointment with Dr Ali, which started with her very abruptly asking what’s wrong with me… I explained there should be a referral letter A&E detailing the chronic back pain I’ve experienced for the past 12 years. The pain I’ve experienced is at times so bad, I’ve needed Tramadol just to get out of bed. Dr Ali clearly didn’t see the previous 12 years of repeat proscriptions for Tramadol, and immediately dismissed the request for an MRI scan. As advised by the A&E doctor who examined me. Her interpretation of the referral is I only needed physiotherapy and an MRI scan if the issue persists. I did try to explain to Dr Ali that I’ve already had over 40 physiotherapist appointments previously, but she repeatedly interrupted me by saying the A&E doctor only recommended an MRI scan if the issue persists. I again reminded Dr Ali that my conditions has been chronic for over 12 years. It was this point Dr Ali advised she will be terminating the call. I was so disgusted at Dr Ali’s attitude and incoherent presentation, I literally checked when the next full moon was due. Utter lunacy was my initial concern.
