Took stroke like symptoms and was taken to A&E, they referred me to stroke clinic. Met Mr Mc Verry, he listened to my concerns, without judgement and ordered scans, bloods ecg. He rang a few days later with results of scan and had referred me for further imaging tests. Throughout the whole process he was extremely approachable and reassuring. He kept me informed of all steps involved in confirming a diagnosis.

I had an episode on Sunday evening. I went to GP on Monday and was referred to Altnagelvin. Got a call from Altnagelvin on Wednesday evening for a 9.30 appointment on Thursday. Was seen by a doctor and then by Dr McVerry. Had an MRI scan at 12.15. Was very impressed by the efficiency of the whole process. Could not find one fault with this experience of the NSH. Thank you so much.

Arrogant doctor obviously thinks he is better than all the other more respected consultants
