I have to say, I was notably impressed with how polite and attentive Dr Farooqi was for my appointment which - in the grand scale of things - wasn't about massively pressing issue.
I thought his demeanour was exemplary.

Dr Farooqi spent a lot of time with me listening to my health concerns and asked a lot of questions to help him understand as much as possible about my visit with him. He gave me the opportunity to share any extra information. And although I wasn’t sure and had a few questions he had a lot of patience and reassured me throughout.

I am an award winning General Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in pacemaker devices and heart failure. I am also the Group Clinical Director for Medicine at Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust. I have over 20 years experience in the management and investigation of all aspects of general adult cardiology including chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, blackouts (syncope), hypertension and arrhythmias.
I qualified in 1997 at the renowned United Medical and Dental School of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, University of London and completed my specialty training in the London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deaneries. I was appointed NHS Consultant in Cardiology at King George Hospital, Essex in 2012 and Honorary Consultant at Barts Heart Centre in London. I was Cardiology Clinical Lead from September 2019 to February 2023 and have since been promoted to Group Clinical Director of Medicine at BHRUT
