I seen Dr Cameron when he was working as a locum in another surgery and he was a really nice gentleman and gave me medication that no other doctors gave me and it worked and i am so much better just by seeing him which i thank him for.

I have been a patient of Dr Cameron for a number of years and visited with a variety of different conditions. He is very abrupt, has no bed side manner and if you are happy with this, some would say he is a good doctor. I visited him recently and had a number of issues I needed to speak to him about. While I understand my appointment was for 10 minutes, I found the attitude of Dr Cameron quite upsetting. He huffed and puffed when I said I had something else to ask him about. When he had to scroll through my notes looking for when I had a certain test he was not happy at all and made me feel very inadequate. I understand he has other patients waiting and I am sorry for this, but I don't visit the doctor unless I absolutely need to and when I do I expect to be treated with some decency and not to be huffed and puffed at and huge great sighs!!! I came out after this visit and was in tears when I got in my car. Needless to say I will not be going to see Dr Cameron again. Maybe some extreme and very serious conditions he is more interested in, but for the more mundane issues, I am sorry but this doctors does not have the time of day.

Dr Cameron has gone above and beyond for me in previous years. He has challenged other medical staff when I was really poorly, out of which I was given a full apology by another GP. Yes Dr Cameron can be abrupt but lets be honest here, if Dr Cameron was that bad, would he still be practicing?! I have known Dr Cameron for over 25 years, as well as Dr Fegan. Both are excellent doctors in their own right. Just because Dr Cameron doesn't suffer fools gladly, this does not give people the right to criticise him for giving his own opinion!

As regards treatment for physical illness, this doctor is on top of his game Can be recommended. I have mental illness, I made one suicide attempt where I ended up on a drip, and a doctor said it was a close call. Another time I sat in a car with a rubber hose, but the engine cut out. I will say nothing about Dr Cameron, just merely post some his exact words. "All your previous suicide attempts were pretty lame". "I know you have tried before, but those attempts were half hearted gestures" When I reminded Dr Cameron that I had been on suicide websites, he said, "but that is meaningless, you haven't acted on it, you haven't taken any action." He also said, "you don't suffer that much from depression, it's more a case of anxiety". I leave it to the reader to decide if they would visit Dr Cameron, if they had mental illness.
