I was with him for a number of years and his retirement has proven to be deeply upsetting to myself and many of his other patients.
He didn’t just treat me as a number or a diagnosis. He treated me as a person and I never felt rushed or like a burden. I fought him for a number of years (entirely my fault, not his) but he never once gave up on me. I’m deeply unsure I’ll ever find a psychiatrist as good as he is. He’s set the standard that high.
I truly don’t know where I’d be without him. He’s provided me with guidance and skills I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.
I always appreciated the humourous moments in our sessions which acted as a break from all the seriousness.
It’s unlikely he’s reading this but if you’re reading this, Dr Puschmann, thank you.
I really like Dr Puschmann. He has helped me come to terms with my trauma by enabling me to look at things differently. Today, due to his hard work & commitment I am now able to be in a relationship which was not possible for me for many years. He has encouraged & suggested me to focus on things that I may be able to do like writing. I have started writing short articles and hope to expand on that as per his suggestion. He is a great asset and invaluable to his patient. He provides deep and meaningful insight into what the patient is trying to say. When he does retire it will be a massive blow to his patients. I have to say he is indeed my favourite doctor and has had a profound positive impact on my life.
