Dr Emma Janes was a lot more understanding of me than other doctors and professional service staff, actually giving me the opportunity to be heard, regardless of my neurodiversity. Sadly we only had 1 hour- and the internet connection bugged out- so it was tough for her to understand the full case; but she did the best she could with the resources available. I thank her for being one of the first to actually hear me out- to a much greater degree than anybody has previously. Dr Emma Janes asked me questions for clarification and let me try to explain what I felt was going on and how experiences were for me, which is a service I would like to see utilised more often in the mental health sectors. Oftentimes I say my feelings only for the professionals to 'transcribe' it in a way that makes it harder to access the right care and support. Aware of this, Dr Emma Janes tried to take into consideration what I meant by my words. My only slight point for contention is I wish there could've been more time to discuss the treatment plan recommendations, but I appreciate this regardless as it helped to hear her suggestions as what she'd recommend for my care. Some parts of the report I was a bit unsure about but overall I am very grateful for her care and service. I'd absolutely recommend visiting her for extra mental health support in diagnosis and treatment, as Dr Emma Janes' report paid great detail to my personal situation and circumstances, which was a very rare experience for me. And she was friendly and open to discussion- showcasing a level of care that most services have failed to provide me with.

Dr Emma Janes has a brilliant manner. She’s very sympathetic and understanding which can really help in a time when you feel alone and at your lowest. Just hearing ‘I’m sorry you’re feeling that way’ can feel so validating at a time of crisis especially when it’s said so authentically and with care. She listened to my worries around medication and prescribed accordingly which helped my anxiety around medication. She heavily influenced my local crisis team to see me which means I’m getting the ongoing care I need currently. I think without her input I would not be getting the care I have with them: She has a no pressured approach which is helpful when self funding and makes me feel like I can go to her with questions, worries, concerns and follow ups if needed. Thank you.

Dr.Janes has been above and beyond what we expected. To meet a clinician so able to be comfortable with is rare, she made us feel so comfortable and confident to share our fears and concerns that we were truly able to see what was happening. We felt listened too and accepted. I feel so lucky we met with her. Thank you so much.
