I have just had my first contact from this person and i am disgusted with the way i have just been treated not at the Clinic but at NHS Lothian Inchkeith House. Started with her being 20 mins late doing a phone appointment no apology, no explanation of why i was speaking to her and not my normal doctor, also made out i have had conversations with my own GP which i have not, offered no assurance that she has even looked into my previous notes, spoke down to me when i was trying to explain the things she had stated never happened. How people like this ever get into positions where they are suppose to be helping people with Mental Health issues is far beyond me, i have waited almost 5 months for this supposed support call / appointment which ended in her slamming the phone down on me after telling me contact your GP again. A complete joke of a doctor with her posh voice and her letters behind her name no wonder the system is such a failure when these are the type of people we have to deal with. Clearly somebody who thinks she above and better than other people.

The Doctor Emma Hargreaves I met was at the Edinburgh Practice on Northumberland Street, Edinburgh and NOT the Edinburgh Clinic. My session with her was a most disappointing 60 mins. The doctor took notes as I spoke but, whether consciously or not, she constantly raised her eyebrows or shook her head at some of the difficult things I was saying. She also made judgemental comment which were unnecessary as if wanting to scold me at times. I was there to seek her help not for her to judge me on the spot in the most appalling and condescending way. Kept interrupting and the conversation didn't go anywhere. Total waste of time and money. I felt much worse for meeting with her and would not recommend anyone seeking help to improve their life, meet with her.

Does not want to listen. Very dismissive. No point attending an appointment with this individual or trying to discuss anything, because she's already made up her mind what her plan is before you've even received your appointment letter. Now I don't 'need' someone to 'listen', I do need someone to have a dialogue with regarding my condition and treatment. Very old fashioned overly medical used approach to treatment. Luckily I do not have the type of condition or emotions that have a negative affect on me, however if this is how this individual communicates with all her patients then I really do despair for those people and would encourage them to ask to be referred elsewhere where they might actually get a say in their treatment and hopefully not be made to feel like an inconvenience.

Refuses to listen, tells you what you have experienced did not happen despite having evidence, completely invalidates your thoughts and feelings
