My family -- which includes 3 boys under the age of 5 -- was with Dr Young for one year. During that time my frustration with her and the practice grew to the point that I recently switched GPs. Dr Young handled my children rather roughly: one time she held my 18 month old in a near choke hold to get him to inhale out of ventilator. Eventually, my children grew to fear going to the doctor. Not good. She was often dismissive of my concerns. One time she said SHE was the expert, not I when I said I thought my 4 year old had chicken pox. She was condescending, refusing to discuss blood test results, saying I wouldn't understand all the technical terms. Furthermore, when prescribing medication she failed to tell me how to use it, or what side effects they may give. (I would most certainly not have taken this particular medication had she warned me of the extreme mood swings, and skin rash.) In short, I was very disappointed with Dr. Young, and would not recommend her at all.
