Our 6-year old son has had the relatively new PIMS disease which resulted in him staying 8 days in hospitals and us being scared to death. Dr. Whittaker managed to both convey with truthfulness the uncertainties linked to this ‘new’ disease but also keep us up to date with the most recent findings and developments and provide a solid judgment on them which incidentally left us reassured. We are extremely grateful to her and to all the team.
This doctor was very easy to talk to and approachable. She made me comfortable and gave me reassurance. I was down with my baby conditions and she gave me hope. She is so supportive and good listener to my concerns.
We visited Dr. Whittaker at least 4 time. She is not only passionate about what she is excellent at but a caring human with that touch of humanity. The later part of humanity is something very difficult to learn, understand and be consistent with and I would definitely recommend her to train the newcomers too.
Absolutely incredible Dr. I feel my baby daughter has received the best care possible to date. Elizabeth takes the time to explain everything simply, including the research / basis behind her advice and observations. No question seems to small and nothing seems too much trouble for her. She doesn’t make me feel rushed in our appointments, is caring and compassionate when I get upset (she has even taken the time to ask after my well-being, despite my daughter being the patient) and she has seamlessly arranged follow ups with other teams where required. Along with the other members of the Pediatrics ID team that we’ve met over the last 6 months, I have been bowled over by the level of care we have received. Thank you so much.
