On 21 Feb 2001 in the morning, I had high temperature. My son called Dr Hockney. She asked if I have rashes, I said no. She suggested me to take a bath to lower the temperature. During the bath I saw that I had rashes. In the evening Dr Hockney called to ask if I was ok. I said my temperature was lowered a bit after taking the bath, but I saw rashes. She suggested me to take a glass to press some of the rashes to see if they go away. They did not go away. She said I had meningitis, which has to be treated in hospital. She came to my home in about 15 minutes, gave me a penicillin injection, and called the Charing Cross Hospital to send over an ambulance. Arriving the hospital my face turned violet due to lack of oxygen, and had to be given oxygen. I was treated in ICU for 12 nights, then in a private room for 18 nights. Dr Hockney had saved my life and soon after leaving hospital I was totally recovered.
