I saw Dr Field for an appointment regarding a query to do with an mri brain scan. As I suffer from neuralgic pain in my head primarily in an occipital form, I wished to know the size of the cyst. The size was missed out as pineal cysts are very common and are usually asymptomatic. She arranged for the appropriate person to be contacted and the cyst measurement was given. 12mm which my neurologist told me was asymptomatic but others have argued otherwise. As I have occipital neuralgic symptoms and visual eye disturbances others wonder if there is a link. The answer will come when I have my next brain scan and if it's shown it's grown or not. I have spinal muscular issues which can account for the occipital symptoms. I am keeping an open mind and I have not formed an opinion either way. Dr field is very polite and helpful and I am very grateful for her help.
