I agree with all of the wonderful things everyone has said about Dr Eleonora Zanchin from Hastings & Rother Healthcare! She is the best doctor I have ever spoken to (and I work in healthcare myself). She is kind, understanding, patient, a great listener and true compassionate. I recommend her to anyone!!! I literally wanted to reach into the phone and give her a massive hug!! Thank you Dr Zanchin!

I have been searching for a way to let this Dr know how much she has changed my life for the better, and to thank her for listening and not being dismissive. For the last few years I have been complaining of various health problems and kept contacting my surgery with various complaints, and felt noting was being done. October 20. was one of those calls, and Eleanora was a locum at my GP practice. I had never had dealings with her before, in fact now you never speak with the same doctor, which I feel is part of the problem. I had been put on HRT early 20, after bleeding heavily, and being told it was menopause, and told it would be the magic pill that would change my life, it wasn't and I wanted to chat to a Dr and she called me back, thank god! I told her about the bloating, the fatigue, iritis, back problems etc. As a precaution she suggested a scan, and sent away for a referral. That scan in December has changed my life. I told the radiologist I felt I had something in me as at times even putting shoes on hurt, bending was painful. I was told there and then I had 1 large mass inside me, 18cm's, and full of at least 1.5ltrs of fluid, and a smaller mass if around 4cms. The relief of " I told you so" was the first reaction, before the worry set in. Eleanor rang me within hours of the scan, so the results had been sent straight back very quickly. Eleanor herself was shocked and explained over the phone clearly what was going to happen, and that there was no suggestion of cancer, and they appeared to be Cysts, and so my journey began, sadly very much delayed due to covid. I ended up in A&E unwell in January in a lot of pain and discomfort, the Cyst has grown and even eating was hard work, they drained 2.2ltrs of fluid to make me more comfortable until safer times allowed for the surgery. Since then I have had open surgery in April, the cysts had regrown back to 18cms, and filled with 1.5ltrs of fluid, and the other was 8cms, no wonder walking and life had got so tough. I've been opened up and had them both removed, along with an ovary and my tubes. I'm 3 weeks into my recovery, and apart from being very sore and tired, I feel amazing, I can feel the difference, and now I almost feel like a new woman. This is all down to you Eleanor, I cannot thank you enough, this has been an emotional and long journey, and without your intervention and foresight to refer for gynea check it may have ended differently. Thank you, if I could hug you I would x

I saw Dr Eleonora Zanchin last year and have to say that she is the best doctor I have ever gotten an appointment with! She is caring and truly listens to your health concerns. I wasn't made to feel like a nuisance and she is not dismissive like some of the other doctors can be. I was very sad to learn that she is no longer at this surgery anymore :(

Dr Zanchin is the only doctor I want to see. She is empathetic and listens. She is warm and friendly. I don't want to see anyone else but sometimes I have to as she isn't it always available. A brilliant doctor who has helped me with various issues due to me having MS. She has also referred me to specialists too. She is also good at taking the time to explain everything that I need to know. I thank her for her efforts.
