I am a healthy 52 year old Architect. I had odd (atypical chest pains) and a family history of heart disease. I had a standard Cardiological investigations at a local London hospital - which involved wearing an external heart monitor for a week and was told all was OK due to my age and fitness. I requested a second opinion and got in touch with Dr. Edward Latham (Cardiologist). Based on my family history, I had a one-stop Cardiac CT Coronary Angiogram. A diagnosis showed heart disease of the LAD and I was fast tracked to a definitive Angio and pressure wire, ith. A surgical review happened on the same day. Surgery was booked within 3 months and a successful operation carried out.
