I had a serious medical emergency that landed me in hospital after several assurances from Doctor Johnson that it was a passing viral infection. It was bacterial, and the doctor did not run any physical examinations before dismissing me. Months later, another doctor thankfully recognised my situation but things had progressed by that point and I ended up needing minor surgery. I regret to say that he is an inadequate GP, if you get the chance I would recommend meeting with another from the surgery.

Dr Johnson is I beleive the head of the Presteigne Medical Centre and therfore sets the standards. The practice I have found to be acceptable for minor medical problems. For most patients this isnt when you really need them. Dr Johnson has I found no empathy with cancer sufferers or the fact that by havng to travel extensively for care you are unable in your first few days of returning home able to go to the surgery to sit about for appointments. This attitude ripples through the entire practice where their egos get in the way of being able to remember they are paid to provide a service.
