Hello Doctor, I would politely suggest that the form one filled in prior to the appointment could be improved to make it more relevant to male patients and hopefully more useful to yourself. Many thanks for your patience and diligence.

Response from Miss Donna Egbeare

Thank you for suggesting this - I agree the form should be separate to the one we give to female patients - I am a new consultant at the unit and am working on improving patient information and forms currently. It is really useful to have your feedback to support this and it highlights that this form is insensitive to the fact that not all patients seen in the breast clinic are female.

Miss Egbeare was easy to talk to she gave me the information I needed and also was very reassuring. I didn't fell I was wasting her time, she also gave me a leaflet to take with more information. The fact that the clinic was on time also made the experience less stressful.

I have only met Miss Egbeare once however she was really approachable and very understanding of my situation and took the time to talk me through all the possible options of surgeries available to me. I really appreciated that she took the time to send me some extra information in the post of a paper that she thought would be interesting for me to read. I would be pleased to see Miss Egbeare again should I need to and cannot recommend her enough!

Miss Egbeare was excellent because she listened to me, answered all my questions, didn't make me feel stupid or as if I was wasting time, and had plenty of time for me. She has a kind, caring and professional manner. I couldn't ask for more from a consultant appointment and would be delighted and feel reassured if I needed to see her again.

I felt that she really listened to all my concerns & gave very knowledgeable answers to questions that both my husband & I had. She took time to explain my options in detail & the pros & cons of each option. She really is a fantastic consultant & a great credit to both the NHS & Frimley Park Hospital. I honestly can't think of anything she could do to improve.
