Dr Deera Dissanayake is a credit to Furness General hospital. He listens to patients and their relatives. Is very clear when explaining tests and results and checks back to make sure you understand. My husband saw him in a rapid access HOT clinic with very vague symptoms and he was very thorough and explained every stage of the process of assessment and tests, he put our minds at ease. He is very approachable and warm mannered. He took a clear history and seemed interested in what we had to say, we did not feel at any time that we were time wasters despite the symptoms being very sporadic and not clear, I would highly recommend him as a Doctor.
