I have been under the care of Dr Dionysis for the past couple of years. Dr Dionysis has always taken the time to explain everything and answer any questions I may have. He is very caring and always takes the time to make sure I understand what is going on with each step of my treatment. I would highly recommend Dr Dionysis.

On meeting Dr Papadatos for the first time he recommended I stay on the immunotherapy treatment. I have since been undergoing the treatment every 6 weeks and so far I am responding well with very little side effects. Dr Papadatos explained every thing fully to me and has a very reassuring, confidant manor. He seems like a very nice pleasant man who I fully trust. He listened to my questions and answered them thoroughly. If it was possible I would recommend Dr Papadatos to anyone needing the care of an oncologist.

Dr Papadatos-Pastos has been my consultant oncologist since my diagnosis for lung cancer. He has always presented a friendly and relaxed demeanour, has listened to my questions and answered them clearly. Now a year or so on from my first treatment I am feeling very well and the screening reports show my cancer is being well contained. I am so gratful to him and his team for this and their ongoing care.

Dr Dionysis Papadatos-Pastos is exactly the doctor and the person one wants to meet as a recently diagnosed mesothelioma patient. He is highly qualified, very experienced, kind and sympathetic. He has a twinkle in his eye. In explaining the options for treatment, and answering questions about these, he is admirably clear. He is also, as the leading oncologist treating mesothelioma at UCH, a centre of excellence at the forefront of cancer research, in a strong position to offer effective treatment and realistic hope for the future to mesothelioma patients. He is on top of his job and seldom keeps patients waiting -- he sees patients, where he can, before their appointment time. He clearly takes an interest in each patient. Being diagnosed with mesothelioma is deeply shocking and frightening. I have, however, found both senior and junior staff at UCL kind, supportive, knowledgeable and positive. Dr Dio exemplifies all these qualities. Lucy Sheppard

Having had brain surgery to remove a tumour, which was only partially successful, I was referred to The Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment under Dr. Papadatos. At this extremely worrying time Dr. Papadatos put me at ease with his warm, caring and compassionate nature. He listened to my worries, my questions and anxieties, and, explained truthfully and clearly about the treatment I was to have, what side effects etc I should expect and I felt a great confidence in him. The treatment by the nurses and staff in the chemotherapy unit could not be faulted and, on the whole, I consider it, and my continued treatment, second to none.
