Dr Dayavathi Ashok

I’ve had a really positive experience with Dr Ashok and wanted to share how much of a difference she has made for me. She has been incredibly caring, attentive, and supportive throughout my treatment. I’ve struggled with ongoing knee issues for a number of years, including multiple surgeries and persistent swelling. Dr Ashok took my concerns seriously from the start and worked with me to find the right approach. The steroid injection she arranged made a huge difference — my swelling settled quickly and I felt significantly better for months afterwards. She also started me on sulfasalazine, which has helped manage my symptoms and given me more control over my condition. What stands out most is how kind and understanding she is. She takes the time to listen, explain things clearly, and make you feel reassured, which really helps when you’re dealing with something ongoing and stressful. I’m genuinely very grateful for her care and would highly recommend her to anyone needing a rheumatologist.

I have been under Dr Ashok for the past three months. At my first appointment she treated me with utmost respect and care when examining me and I felt really listened to when explaining my Sympton’s. Ongoing care has been excellent and her treatment very effective. If I needed help at a future date I would not hesitate to go back to her . I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone .

I first met Dr Ashok when admitted to hospital for widespread pain and swelling of joints. When I saw her in her clinic she remembered seeing me when in hospital. She was very kind and listened to everything my Wife and I told her. Our worries and concerns and the impact my condition was having on my life. After a thorough investigation and tests, she diagnosed me with 'Reactive Arthritis'. She got me started on treatment that she assured me would start to help within 48 hours. At this stage we were sceptical as since being discharged from hospital my symptoms had worsened but.....she was right. Within 48 hours we noticed a difference. Swelling was going down, and pain easing. I have been under her care now for 5 months. Although I still have some symptoms, I am able to manage them now. I am also back to work and being self employed that was my main concern. Dr Ashok is kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable. She was very compassionate towards my wife when she broke down in tears at one appointment. I can not fault her care in anyway. I am still in her clinic and trust her 100%. She really did give me life back when I thought it was over as I knew it. Thank you Dr Ashok and her team.

I found Dr Ashok very approachable, easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable. She diagnosed my Rheumatoid arthritis very quickly and has been an absolute god send in helping with my ongoing care. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I can’t thank Dr.Ashok enough. The treatment she has prescribed my husband for his long term condition has been life changing. My husband has been pain free for over a year now, and says he hasn’t felt this well for a long time. We are forever grateful for her genuine care and expert knowledge.

I would like to thank Dr. Ashok for giving me my life back just over a year ago having suffered with joint pain for many years. On our first meeting at Springfield and subsequent visits on the NHS she was kindness itself, showing care and empathy to me and my family - explaining everything about my condition and the medication required! She is very passionate about treatments for Rheumatoid Arthritis and I would recommend her to anyone who is suffering with this painful condition. Lovely, lovely lady!

I was referred to Dr. Ashok for suspected rheumatoid arthritis. She then examined me and she said it's not rheumatoid arthritis and she was going to send me for an X-ray as she thought it was a fracture. This turned out to be the case. Dr. Ashok is a lovely person and very friendly. I was totally relaxed and very impressed with her attention to detail. I would heartily recommend anyone to her. Further more, she managed get me a referral to another Ramsay hospital for a bone density scan, despite not working there, against their protocol, I suspect.

I have seen Dr Ashok twice now and cannot recommend her highly enough. Dr Ashok has a professional, kind and friendly approach to her patients and really makes you feel at ease. I saw her as a private patient at Springfield Hospital, following a fractured spine due to Osteoporosis. She immediately knew what my treatment should be and recommended an infusion to be given once a year. Dr Ashok said I should be having the infusion under the NHS and has been so pro active in getting me transferred to her clinic at Broomfield Hospital. I now have an appointment with her on the 13th August. My daughter accompanied me to the initial appointment and Dr Ashok recommended that she see her doctor to arrange a DEXA scan, She is apparently at high risk of osteoporosis due to my condition. I feel that Dr Ashok goes over and above what you normally expect from a Consuktant, I would highly recommend anyone to this lovely caring lady.
