He gives alot of facts and figures and pretends to listen but infact he isn't. I have arthritis in my joints and also spine. He changes what he says he is going to do often and sits sprouting medical terms you have no idea about. He goes on about lifestyle and sleep. He blames pain relief for making sleep and pain worse which I don't agree with. I'm in pain all the time and these tablets provided by my GP are the only thing helping me get any relief. When he says he will be in touch he forgets and I've turned up for clinic to be told he was off. I ended up in tears on the phone to the rheumatology nurse who then arranged emergency scans for me. The nursing staff seem to think he doesn't really listen to his patients. They can tell your in a great deal of pain but he can't. And making people wait and wait or referring them to a pain management clinic or saying depression won't help doesn't help me as patient. I was depressed for other reason prior to my disease. I fought for a decade to be diagnosed with this and then he true to take he diagnosis away or give it back when he feels like it.He never remembers what drugs I've been on or that I'm taking. I understand he is a buy man but read the notes. Also when an urgent scan is needed it takes 2 months in which time things calm down and then he tells you things are in your head. He needs to listen to his patients and realise that the pain we experience is real and awful from arthritic conditions. Forgot your clinic books and papers..we are people.
