I have had the unfortunate experience of having two consultations with Dr Chavez, one in October last year when during the consultation I was told by Dr Chavez to "shut up and listen", and today when I attended the doctor with a chest complaint, when asked if I smoked and replied that I did, I was told by Dr Chavez that he shouldn't be giving me any treatment for my chest infection and handed me a prescription for antibiotics, at which point I left with no further conversation I have seen this doctor on two occasions and have left the surgery in tears both times.

I have had to visit Lingfield Surgery quite a few times in the last few months due to high blood pressure. I found Dr Chavez very professional and listens to your concerns. I would recommend him as a GP. Also I have found the Lingfield Surgery Doctors and staff excellent. When I require an appointment they are pretty good at fitting me in. As with all NHS surgeries they are under extreme pressure with so many patients on their books.

Appointment was for sinus blockage but also have chronic bronchitis/bronchial asthma.Very abrupt (non) communication from Chavez who immediately made the motion that he deals with conditions "from the throat up" - so ignored all other symptoms.Made one feel it's an interview for an offence! Did not listen to any of my symptoms or history of problems.Nurse seemed under his command (!) and shoved a nasal spay in front of my face dictating that i should take it for 2 months or go away. The rudest medical staff i've ever met. Exactly the sort of personality unsuited to ant type of job involving direct care.He must learn that a good scientist is open minded/never complacent and can always learn form their mistakes.Read Popper Mr.Chavez.He has clearly been institutionalised in his profession with unquestionable respect and been able to get away with it for far too long.Patients DON'T have to put up with this or accept this method of treatment,Not recommended......
