Dr Daniel Armstrong was fantastic. He is extremely friendly and very helpful and explained every procedure fully, making me feel total relaxed and not worried about any of my operations. Wish all doctors were more like him. Even now I have officially been discharged I know that if there are any future problems with my hand then I would not hesitate or be worried to contact him for help again.

I can`t speak highly enough Mr Armstrong regarding the quality of care he provided. He was most polite, helpful, friendly and comprehensively went through the proceedure regarding treatment. I am completely satisfied with the outcome of the "operation" on my hand. As the problem with my hand is recurring I will be requesting that future referrals made by my GP are for Mr. Armstrong. Thank you so much again.

Thoroughly pleasant gentleman Not remotely condescending and didn't talk to me in medical jargon. He was factual and to the point and I knew what to expect, both good and bad

Brilliant care throughout, everything explained fully and a very good outcome. First time I have ever been to a clinic where you see the consultant every time. I would never hesitate to recommend Mr Armstrong to any one requiring hand or wrist surgery.

Mr Armstrong from the start has been a supportive and very informative Dr/Surgeon. My case was not the easiest but Mr Armstrong kept me informed and up to date with all he was planning to do, even bothered mid surgeries whist I was waiting for my operation took the time to explain what he was going to have to do in my operation as more information came to light pre op. Whist I was being prepared for my operation in the anesthesiologist area, his team were very informative, answered any questions i had whist i was having my regional anesthetic put in. Once in the operating room, as soon as i started to get nervous his team were quick to respond, even by simply holding my hand and making me more comfortable. Mr Armstrong and his team were with me every step of the procedure and if needed anything were quick to react and help anyway they could. Upon my 2nd operation to have my K wires removed, i had a slight knee injury meaning i was struggling to straighten my knee on the operating table, the team were extremely helpful and straightaway got a couple of pillows to support my knee making me comfortable. After surgery Mr Armstrong took the time to explain what he did in surgery and what the possible outcome in recovery would be even giving me copies of the x rays of how it was all plated/screwed and wired. Upon my 3 month check up, he was very informative and took the time to explain in detail and in clear ( non dr lingo) what occurred in the operation and also took the time to listen to any problems I might be experiencing. With listening he chose what options would be best to do to look into what could possibly be causing the slight pain. Mr Armstrong is one of the best Dr's and Surgeons I have had the pleasure in dealing with, he is kind, patient and very friendly, always wanting the best for his patients! Everyone who has seen my injury and what it is like post op have commented on how neat my scar is and how successful the operation has been to more or less get me 95% movement back into my arm/wrist. I cannot recommend Mr Armstrong and his team more then what I have already stated and would not hesitate in giving them a 5 star rating for Mr Armstrong and his team. Once again i cannot thank the team and Mr Armstrong enough for all they have done, and look forward to seeing them all in 4 months time for another check up.

I am a Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby. My practice is entirely Hand and Wrist problems and I have a large proportion of tertiary referral work for complex issues. I also have an interest in minimally invasive surgery - endoscopic carpal and cubital tunnel release, Xiapex/Collagenase, Needle Aponeurotomy etc.

I underwent orthopaedic training in the Trent Region, gaining the FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics) exam. I have undertaken specialist training in Derby, Nottingham and Oxford where I was the National Hand Fellow. I have been examined in, and passed, the British Post Graduate hand Diploma.
