After living in the village for 15 years and not making that many visits. We have needed the practice and their support for the past 18 months. Firstly Dr Cottingham and then mainly Dr White. I don't know what I personally would have done without them. Our family was going through an extremely difficult time and their support and patience and knowledge was greatly appreciated. The doctors themselves kept in touch and generally organised themselves to see us again, always doing their very best to fit everything around our situation. I think our family will be forever grateful for all the advice and care we have received from them.

I have been impressed by Dr Dan Cottingham from the moment he joined the practice, he arrived just after Dr Parkin retired I cannot help thinking that Dr Parkin choose him as he has all the skills and virtues that Dr Parkin had, he leaves no stone unturned and goes the extra mile, always makes you feel comfortable, he allows you to describe your problems fully without interruption before making a diagnoses. He is a superb Dr no wonder its difficult to get an appointment with him he is as popular as Dr Parkin was.

Dr Cottingham is a man who always appears to be prepared to listen to your views, and comments, about your own problems. He always appears to have a busy workload, but is prepared to give you all the time you need to explain your health problem(s). When you have finished your explanation, he will advance his views on how he sees the way forward, and will ask for your opinion. If you feel unsure about a particular point, he will listen to what you say - and maybe explain further. If, finally, you are not happy about something, he will accede to whatever sensible , albeit contrary, view you may have - and suggest a reasonable period of time to check whether you may be right, or not. It is always a responsible, and reasonable compromise. He always tries to involve you, as a patient, in the decision-making process, as opposed to the old-fashioned adage of, "I am the doctor, therefore I must be right!" An excellent doctor.
