Dr Barr cares for my very ill husband, who has complex needs. Dr Barr cares and always responds to queries we raise with him. I do not think my husband would be alive today were it not for the care he has received off Dr Barr. Dr Barr first looked after my husband in 2001, he followed up on his care during my husband’s journey through treatment for bowel cancer. He is now helping us through the palliative care stage of my husband’s illness. A kind, caring, knowledgeable professional.

I had 3 consultations with Dr. Barr. He gave me monitors to wear on a number of occasions but then told me that I could not have any surgical treatment with the form of Atrial Fibrillation that I had. He suggested I took some stronger Beta Blockers which my doctor didn't think was a good idea, as I had had trouble with them in the past. Luckily, I found another consultant at the Q.E. Hospital who gave me 2 Ablations and he has made such a difference to my life. I am now able to do the sports I enjoy once more.

My GP referred me to Dr Barr and said that he was one of the best cardiologists in the country. Throughout my treatment for atrial fibrillation I have never had any reason to question my GPs assessment. Dr Barr explained everything to me very thoroughly, sometimes blinding me with scientific detail. He also listened to me to the point where I thought I was his only patient. The after care that I received from the team was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommended him.

I saw Dr Barr at Lincoln county hospital, this was an Outpatients review appointment. Dr Barr talked me through my test results, and he made sure I fully understood them, he also gave me excellent advice regarding my condition. I came away feeling really pleased that I had the opportunity to discuss all my questions and concerns. He is a very professional, helpful person, and a credit to his profession. I thoroughly recommend him.
