I had a STEMI 2 years ago and presented at A&E Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast. I actually thought it was some strange kind of indigestion but never for one minute thought "heart attack". After ECG I was brought to the Emergency Room, and a cardiologist contacted the CathLab upstairs and I was then brought there. I later discovered the PCI was performed by Dr Owens. He worked calmly, carefully, deligently and later told me that my RCA was blocked and the circumflex artery was also compromised. I performed a pressure test back in the lab 6 weeks later and saw me for a very kind and open chat in his office a few months later. I am entirely grateful for this man's calm efficiency and gentle manner. I owe my life to his skill.
