I had been having problems with heavy and painful periods for over 18 years and seen several doctors at this surgery and another without being listened to properly. Eventually I decided to book an appointment with Dr Swaebe as she was a female doctor and I wanted to discuss my ongoing issues with increasingly unmanageable bleeding. She was wonderful! she listened, asked practical questions about my day to day life and how I was managing. She prescribed some treatment to help for an upcoming holiday and referred to a gynae specialist as soon as I got back. I have since had a hysterectomy and she has been great at explaining my HRT. During this process I also lost my mum and she was very sympathetic to the impact of greif and HRT on my mood. She has restored my faith in our practice.
