I have seen many Psychiatrists over the years but I found Chris to be the only one who totally understood my illness and helped me find a medication that worked for me. I now have a totally new life, a new outlook and am I getting married at the end of the month. Something I could never have considered before meeting Chris. Thank you, Chris, you have changed my life for the good.

Chris still bieves that depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain and prescribes drugs in order to "restore this balance". One of the antidepressants he gave me made me gain 40kg and akithisia, while the other was horrendously difficult to withdraw from with weeks of electric shock like sensations in my head. The only benefit was that they were sedating, but that soon affected my work and quality of life generally- it would have been far better to tell me to get sone antihistamines.

Dr Koen is a first rate psychiatrist with a gentle, non-judgemental approach. I have found him to be a good listener and empathetic. He has helped me to resolve ALL of my difficulties. For which i am extremely grateful. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending him.

I saw Dr Koen when I was at my lowest and didn't know what way to turn. He helped me get my life back on track and deal with my Anorexia and depression. He is always there when I need him and very attentive and understanding. I can't recommend him enough.

Chris is very nice to deal with in person, but he misdiagnosed my substance use disorder as depression. He recommended that I withdraw from alcohol by cutting down; however, I'm an addict and unable to control my consumption. He should be able to understand that seeing as he works at the Priory. There was no attempt to make contact to follow up with me even though I was suicidal and drinking very heavily although he always remembers to send his invoice promptly. My psychologist says he has a reputation for taking on more patients than he can properly deal with.
