When nobody else would listen to me at the practice, Dr Quartly stuck his neck out and got me the right tests and hospital appointments I needed and it turned out there was a problem with my brain. I now regularly see a neurology consultant in a specialist unit in London for my condition and I am so grateful that he actually helped me instead of dismissing me as a hypochondriac. My husband was a patient of his too and has had good experiences. He can be a little gruff but you don't go to a doctor for his or her sparkling wit.

Dreadful doctor. Before seeing him I had heard many friends and family talk about what a bad doctor he was. I wondered how bad he could really be and then I took my 4 year old to see him. Quite frankly I came out in a state of shock. I was stunned by how rude and uncaring this man was. Despite the fact that my son had been very, very ill for 17 days he dismissed it as 'just a virus' and made me feel like a neurotic mother who was wasting his time. The next day my son was in hospital with pneumonia. Dr Quartly had not even listened to my son's chest.

My wife and my self went to see him on numerous occasions he would prescribe pain killers (which were cheaper to buy over the counter than with a prescription!!)He doesn't listen and doesn't appear to want to listen, simple writes out a prescription and that's it your done!! I saw another doctor in the practice who suggested CT scan and phone the hospital the get quicker appointment for a blood test. He doesn't listen and not shown you any respect you go in with medical problem come out with lot more stress, Me and my family, couple of my neighbours have a similar problem with Dr.Quartly have simply chosen not to see him. As a heavy tax&NI payer I do not understand that, he seems to for get he is getting pay out of our pockets. Not Happy...

I consider Dr Quartly to be 'my' doctor in this practice as he is my preferred choice. I admit it does take a little time to get to know him but once this 'barrier' has passed I find him to be a kind & caring Doctor.
