I have had a variety of undiagnosed symptoms for almost 10 years, until today. I found my appointment with Dr Marguerie very productive. Dr Marguerie is an exceptional doctor and knows how to ask the right questions, to be concise and clear when explaining details. My experience was certainly improved by having prepared extensivley for this appointment (I had done a thorough review of all my past symptoms, but focussing on my current problems and the investigations carried out previously and sent this in letter form to Dr Marguerie ahead of the appointment. I also brought a detailed list of questions to ensure I wouldn't forget anything). Doctor Marguerie was very polite, was open to any of my questions, systematically went through every detail and was very clear about what his specialism was and what wasn't. His patient care is exceptional and sadly unusual. I have had experiences previously where doctors became very defensive or weren't even prepared to listen. For anyone with longstanding health issues that fall within Rheumatology, I highly recommend to see Doctor Marguerie. However, make sure you prepare well for your appointment, write a list of what you need to talk about and any questions, so you cannot forget anything and do not hesitate to ask about anything you do not understand.
