As a previous reviewer also mentioned, she did not seem to listen to me during my appointment. I suffer from a rare heart condition and was feeling weak and run down. She did not check my blood pressure or heart rate. The only thing she did agree on was that I was on the wrong dosage of medication and that was because I brought her attention to a change made by my specialist months earlier that was ignored. I asked for a sickness certificate, she refused to back date it even though I have been unwell for the week. In the end she gave me a sickness certificate for the next few days with "feeling unwell" as the reason. All in all a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience and will be requesting a different Dr in future if I have to return to the surgery. I am also considering making an official complaint

I have seen many Drs throughout Westcliff and Southend and Dr Korsten is by far my favourite. I now make sure I see her anytime I go to Valkyrie Surgery. She listens to me and takes into account what I say and also has a lot of helpful advice. She is friendly and makes me feel more relaxed than I do with other Drs. I feel like she really takes the time to listen and understand what I need rather than rushing me or coming to the appointment with her own pre-decided ideas about what's going to happen. I feel she seems more human and easy to talk to than a lot of other Drs I've seen.

I've never met a doctor like this before. She was very unprofessional and not very polite also didn't listen to me. This was very unplesant experience and very dissapointing. I am not sure what shall I do now as I need a professional medical advice (problem with my back/spine - I was diagnosed with osteoarthiritis). I did some medical tests on my behalf (in professional private clinic in Poland during my holiday stay) and this doctor didn't even want to look at these neither to refer me to another specialist. She said that I should then go back to my country but I live and work here in England and should be able to get a good care. Me and my partner we both work in a big company where we are both the only foreigners and we were always treated in a good and friendly way so this kind of behaviour was shocking for me.I am sure that I will change the GP beacuse I no longer want to be terated like this also do not want to meet this doctor again. I am going to make a formal complaint wherever possible to prevent this happening to other people/patients. This is a fact that I am not a native English but as far as I am aware everyone must be treated the same way and equally..I work for the same company for 7 years and always pay my taxes. I am truly disappointed. It's impossible to describe the way I feel. It's been over a week since this has happend.
