I was sent to TIA clinic by GP I was very concerned that this was serious. I saw Dr Machili , he put my mind at rest explaining that I had possibly suffered from a severe migraine. I was sent for a ECG, ultrasound, MRI and blood tests. Fortunately these tests confirmed that I had suffered from migraine. I can't thanks staff and doctor for their caring attitude and patience explaining things to me. Excellent doctor

I was admitted to ward 26, due to shortage of beds. I was in extreme pain down my right leg, with no tests or scans or X-rays Dr. Machili guessed that I had I T band syndrome, a sporting injury. I was in Ward 26 for 4 days on high doses of pain relief, I asked repeatedly for scans / MRI Tests , I asked for orthopaedic input, these were flatly refused. I was discharged in a wheelchair with medication that was not effective for 24hours. Next day I visited a physio, who diagnosed L3/4 trapped nerve. This was confirmed by an MRI scan, showing a prolapsed disc causing a trapped L3 nerve. I realise that my condition was not his speciality but he caused me weeks of excruciating pain which could have been avoided if he had listened and investigated.

I saw this doctor at the Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA) Clinic, having been referred there by my GP. I was seen promptly and treated with courtesy and consideration by reception & all of the staff who conducted diagnostic tests, and by Dr Machili who asked questions about my experience leading to the GP referral and concluded by explaining clearly the reasoning of his diagnosis. I could not have wished for any more at a worrying time.

I felt at the end of my visit and all the tests which were done that I did indeed get great care from all the nurses etc that dealt with me. At the end of the day when I saw the Doctor for the results of the tests and the diagnosis I was very impressed with the care Dr. Machili gave to putting me at ease, explaining in simple terms exactly what had been found, taking time to answer any questions I or my husband had,and came to a conclusion as to how we should go ahead. He has a very nice manner and approach to his patient, which is kindly, helpful, and confident. I felt so much better as we left the hospital, and would recomend this Doctor very highly.
