Brilliant GP - honestly can say I probably wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her great care and kind, honest nature. I'm not the easiest patient to treat - let's just say I'm rather complex and don't follow the norm! But I have never felt that I couldn't go to her and spill all my problems (and I wouldn't blame her if she's fed up with me by now, but if she is, she's very good at hiding it!) She is extremely thorough with her investigations and is very happy to listen to my thoughts on what could be the problem. A few of my illnesses are fairly rare, but she's always made the effort to do some reading up so I have someone to talk to who actually understands the problems I'm facing. While she is extremely good at coming to a diagnosis, she is also very honest and isn't scared to hold her hands up and say she isn't sure what's going on, but will refer me to a specialist. This is something I really appreciate, after spending years seeing doctors who couldn't do this and therefore left me without a diagnosis. As well as being great at the physical side of medicine, she is also one of the most understanding and sensitive doctors I have come across when it comes to mental health and the emotional side of being physically unwell. Nothing you say can shock her and not once have I felt I was being judged, no matter what I said. She always remains professional, but has just the right amount of compassion to make you feel like she genuinely cares, and sometimes when you're at rock bottom just the fact that someone cares can be enough to keep you going. Overall, I don't have a bad word to say about her - I just hope she sticks around at our practice as I would be extremely sad to see her go.
