Dr Smailes is an excellent listener and always takes the time to clarify any issues I have. She is friendly and approachable and quickly puts me at ease whilst not avoiding any difficult issues. As an older patient (69) I have never felt patronised or talked down to during my visits to her surgeries. The only thing that could improve on her care and professionalism would be to persuade her to work more than the limited number of days per week that she currently does.
